These are the most common questions from anglers who were considering buying an Alligator. Here you’ll find answers to what really matters.

It’s a fact confirmed by CE certification (Directive 2013/53/EU). HDPE, which we use to build Alligator, has a density lower than water — even when completely filled with water or capsized, it won’t sink. It won’t crack, break, or absorb water.

It’s the same material used in water pipes designed for 50+ years. You don’t have to take our word for it — we can send you the CE Category D certificate via email before purchase.

💡 Fish alone, far from shore — it won’t sink. Certification isn’t a slogan, it’s a document.

Really. HDPE doesn’t corrode, rot, absorb water, or require painting. You can leave Alligator outside through winter — it’ll return to you in spring ready to fish.

Compare this to an aluminum boat (sanding, anti-corrosive painting each season) or fiberglass (planks, swelling). Anglers who switched to Alligator say it straight: „I got my weekends back”.

The only thing you do after the season: rinse with water, fold up equipment. Done.
